The S.A.S. 009 is a hand made stool in solid Suar wood perfect as a side table. These stools have been burnt using the Shou Sugi Ban technique. This originated in 18th Century Japan. It is a method of preserving wood by charring with fire. The resulting wood has a scorched crackled finish with a deep charcoal black colour.
Cracks will appear in the wood over time adding to it’s rustic appeal.
