Wooden shuttle Large N° 1

This vintage wooden shuttle comes from Shandong province in China, where it was once used as part of a traditional hand loom for weaving textiles.

Years of use have given the wood a beautifully smooth surface and rich, warm patina, with subtle variations that make each piece unique. Its simple elongated form makes it an interesting decorative object, whether displayed on a shelf or table, or used to hold small objects.

Imperfections, irregularities and signs of wear are part of its history and character and are not considered flaws.
