Vintage stone mortar N° 15

This old stone mortar from Shanxi in China was once used in the kitchen for grinding herbs, seeds, or spices. Dating from the 1950's  it's weight and natural texture give it a timeless character. Today, it can be repurposed as a small container, a rustic candle holder, or even as a planter to add charm to a terrace or garden. Imperfections and irregularities are part of its history and are considered a feature rather than a flaw.
