Vintage Japanese vase N° 13

A sculptural Japanese ceramic vase dating from around the 1970s. The hand-worked, softly angular form is finished with a richly textured glaze combining warm brown with areas of exposed sandy stoneware. An irregular rim and natural variations in the surface give each side a distinct character.

A beautiful example of the expressive, organic quality associated with Japanese studio ceramics of the period.

Care instructions: Wipe gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products. Decorative use only; not suitable for holding water or food.
