Vintage Japanese hanging vase N° 11
Vintage Japanese hanging vase N° 11
A sculptural Japanese ceramic hanging vase dating from the 1960s–70s. Known in Japan as a kake-hanaire (掛花入), a hanging flower vessel traditionally used for simple floral arrangements, its elongated irregular form is finished in a richly textured glaze with earthy tones of deep brown, rust and charcoal.
A circular opening punctuates the front, while a small metal loop allows the vase to be suspended from the wall. A characterful vintage piece, beautiful displayed alone or with a simple branch or dried flower.
Care instructions: Wipe gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products. Due to its vintage nature, we recommend using with dried flowers rather than filling with water.
