Shipwrecked vase N° 3
Thai vases from the Sawankhalok kilns, 17th century
These exceptional pieces are the result of underwater archaeological discoveries. Originating from the ancient kilns of Sawankhalok in Thailand, they date back to the 17th century. Their glaze, gently worn by sand carried through ocean currents, bears the poetic mark of time and the sea.
Minor chips and surface irregularities, caused by centuries underwater and the passage of time, are not considered flaws — they are part of the unique character and history of each piece.
