Mossi Mortar Nº3

This wooden mortar is from Ethiopia and dates from the early 20th century. Carved in one piece of wood this mortar was traditionally used for crushing grains.

This item will show some imperfections consistent with use and age which add to it’s beauty and are not considered as flaws.
