Japanese ceramic vase N° 9

A ceramic vase from Japan, dating back to the 1970s.

The piece is shaped with a softly stacked, organic form that narrows into a slender neck, giving it a sculptural, almost totemic presence.

The surface is left largely unglazed, revealing the natural warmth of the clay along with subtle marks and variations from the making and firing process.

These slight imperfections are inherent to the piece and contribute to its character. The matte finish and earthy tone give the vase a quiet, grounded presence, making it a striking object even when displayed empty.
