Antique pot N° 329

A beautiful vintage earthenware pot from Guangxi province, China, dating from the 1970s and originally used for storing rice or noodles.

Each pot is entirely unique, with a richly aged glaze that shifts in colour, tone and texture across its surface. Turn the piece and it takes on a different character, revealing new variations in the glaze, from deeper, earthy areas to softer, more weathered tones. These irregularities and traces of age are what give each pot its distinctive beauty and individuality.

A wonderfully sculptural object on its own, it can also be used as a vessel or decorative piece.

Care

For decorative indoor use only. Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using water or harsh cleaning products, as they may affect the natural patina. If using the pot to display fresh flowers, place a waterproof glass or vase inside rather than filling the pot directly with water.
