Antique glazed pot N° 296

A vintage Chinese ceramic storage pot with a beautifully rounded form and deep, glossy black glaze. Traditionally, vessels of this type were used in Chinese households for storing wine, vinegar, oil or other foodstuffs.

Hand-thrown, the surface retains subtle horizontal throwing lines beneath the glaze, contrasting beautifully with the exposed natural clay at the base. Variations in the glaze, small imperfections and traces of age give each piece its individual character.

Today, its strong silhouette and rich black finish make it a striking decorative object, particularly beautiful displayed alone or as part of a collection.
