A hand-thrown ceramic bowl from China, dating to the Song dynasty period (960–1279).

Song ceramics are known for their quiet restraint and refined simplicity. The beauty lies in the proportions, the subtle glaze tones and the soft irregularities created by the kiln. Each bowl carries traces of time — gentle surface wear, variations in colour and small imperfections that speak to its age and history.

Originally made for daily use, today it works beautifully as a sculptural object, a fruit bowl, or displayed on a shelf or table as part of a layered interior.
