Antique ceramic bowl N° 12 - Qing
Qing Bowl – China
Antique ceramic bowl from China, dating to the Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
The original surface has long since disappeared, leaving the clay exposed and weathered. The bowl now feels almost archaeological — dry, mineral, tactile. In places, sediment and marine deposits remain attached, suggesting long exposure to water and time.
The form is simple and grounded, its proportions still clearly defined despite centuries of wear. Edges are softened, the surface marked by small losses and natural irregularities that speak to its age and journey.
No longer intended for functional use, this piece is best appreciated as an object of quiet presence. Beautiful placed on a console, layered into a vignette, or grouped with other time-worn ceramics.
Each piece is unique, with variations in tone, texture and surface deposit.
Dimensions: H 7 cm x D 16.5 cm.
Care: Dust with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
